At the young age of 36 receiving the "chairperson prize" of the national agriculture
and forestry fishery promotion committee. (Only 12 people nationwide received
this pize.) For the second time receiving first prize in the Gyokuro green
tea catagory of the national tea competition from Japan's MAFF for the second
time. |

first prize in the Gyokuro green tea category of the national tea competition
from Japan's MAFF. |

the authorized title of "Master Craftsman of Kyoto" (Kyoto Prefecture) Receiving

from Japan's MAFF for the sixth time. |

the green white ribbon prize (Ryokuhakujuyukoushou) for his outstanding contributions

Prime Minister publicly bestows the sixth class Isao "Order of the Sacred
Treasure" to Mr. Yamashita |

first prize in the Gyokuro green tea catagory of the national tea competition
from Japan's MAFF for the seventh time. |

Because
of Mr.Yamashita's achievements his hometown Kyotanabe is renowned for the production
of superior Gyokuro and the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF)
prize has been awarded many times to tea producers of this area. Other than
the above, Mr. Yamashita also won the "Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries"
first prize for the Kansai region for 11 times. |
